Lets celebrate a Bengali marriage

Some picture I added twice because at first I photographed my card from my phone as it is hazy. But I went to my relatives house this Sunday here is little better pic for u.Hope u can see my detail.

What should I say about this card. I can only say I was restless when I was busy to making this card. This easel card for Angie's blog candy.I represent here a a newly married Bengali couple( as bengali marriage is my favourite thing) just after the marriage the bride reach her in laws house ( because groom at first go to the bride house and marriage is happened there after that both of them return to the grooms house), Bengali marriage is full of rituals as u can see in front of their feet I keep a dish type thing( really I dont know the English name of this thing) which is contain flower, leaf, sweets, sea shell, and candle type thing, usually the mother of the groom take this and when the bride and groom enter the house the mother of the groom light the candle and surrounding it around both of their faces. Here is a bit of Bengali rituals many more thing is happened, my card is too tiny to make all the tradition.

I atfirst draw both of them water colour them and cut out, after that I draw each and every petal of the roses cut out give shape and glue it out. I use thermocal to make the pillar, attach some hand made paper and stickles. And the seat, I use sweat paper and thermocalto make the seat and the flowers are also made by sweat paper.I bought the pillow. The leafs I made by paper and colour it out by mettalic fabric colour. fortunately I found two small necklace I bought them and use that in my brides neck, rather than that I did lot of bead works on her I made her ear rings and what she wear in her hand and fore head. The Bride what she wear on her head I bought them, but groom what she wear on his head I made by hand made paper and use some beads.

I buy some cloths cut it out and give shape according to their body size, The Little mud Jar as U can in the front of their feet its represents Kolkata's( Kolkata is my City) famous sweet "Rossogolla"( name of the sweet) its use in every ceremony and its serve in these type of mud Jar. I also made a tiny purse for my bride.I used light brown pattern paper at the background.Hope u can see on her hand. I don't have digi cam hope u can see every detail as I give here.

Thanks for looking
